Britannia
Ventilated Ceiling System
Britannia’s ceiling system uses the void above the ceiling as a pressurised
supply air plenum, this ensures that only clean air is passed through the
void, keeping structures and services in the void uncontaminated. Extract
air is controlled by a dedicated extract chamber, which forms a positive fire
barrier with integral grease drainage system. Cassette type ceiling systems
often use the ceiling void as an extract plenum, which results in a small
proportion of the carry over grease being spread over the ceiling void. This
could cause a health hazard or fire hazard in the void. The Britannia ceiling
system was developed specifically to address this issue.
